Cookie Policy
Global Staffing Support B.V. (“GSS”)
1. What this policy covers
1.1 Who publishes it
This Cookie Policy explains how Global Staffing Support B.V. (“GSS”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and comparable technologies on our public website at www.newsintel.eu and all of its subpages, including the pricing, contact, legal and cookie-settings pages (the “Website”).
GSS is a private limited liability company incorporated under the laws of the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 09132165, VAT number NL811925225B01, with its registered office at Kraailandhof 63, 3828 JP Hoogland, the Netherlands. Our full company details are in the Imprint.

1.2 What “cookies” means here
“Cookies” in this policy means cookies in the strict sense and any other technology that stores information on your device or reads information already stored there — including local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, software development kits (SDKs) and device fingerprinting. Under Art. 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act and Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive the same rule applies to all of them, whatever the technical mechanism. Every item in §3 is therefore listed with its actual mechanism, not lumped together as “cookies”.
1.3 What this policy does not cover
This policy covers the public Website only. It does not cover the NewsIntel customer application at app.newsintel.eu, which has its own sign-in, its own browser storage and its own third-party components. The application is the “Service” as defined in Privacy Policy §1 and in the Terms of Service.
1.4 Relationship to the Privacy Policy
This policy is about the placing and reading of information on your device. What we then do with any personal data obtained that way — the purposes, the legal bases, the recipients, the international transfers and your rights — is described in our Privacy Policy, in particular §3 (Website visitors), §9 (recipients and sub-processors), §10 (international transfers) and §11 (your rights).
2. The rule we apply
| Category | Consent needed? | Status on this Website today |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | No | One item only: the record of the choice you make in the banner. See §3.1. |
| Functional / preference | See §4 | None. This Website stores no language, theme or interface-state preference. |
| Analytics / statistics | Yes | Google Analytics 4, loaded only after you choose “Accept all”. See §5. |
| Marketing / advertising | Yes | None, and none is planned. See §6. |
Non-essential cookies are not placed before you have made a choice. Until you choose “Accept all”, no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
The banner presents two options:
- “Accept all” — records your agreement to the analytics category described in §5 and loads Google Analytics 4 as described there.
- “Essential only” — records your rejection of every non-essential category. No analytics script is loaded.
Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting: one click either way, both buttons carry the same visual weight, no pre-ticked boxes and no dark patterns. We do not use a cookie wall, we do not withhold any part of the Website from you on the basis of your choice, and we do not treat continued scrolling or navigation as consent.
3. What is stored on your device by this Website
3.1 First-party storage
One item, and one only:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Name | ni-cookie-consent |
| Mechanism | Local storage (first party). Not an HTTP cookie. |
| Purpose | Records whether you chose “Accept all” or “Essential only”, the time at which you chose, and the version of the banner you were shown. |
| Basis | Exempt from the consent requirement — storage strictly necessary to deliver a service you have expressly requested, Art. 11.7a(3) Dutch Telecommunications Act. Recording the choice is also what allows us to honour it. |
| Stored for | Until you change your choice or clear your browser storage. No automatic expiry is applied and the banner does not re-ask. See §9. |
That is the complete list of first-party storage set by this Website. This Website has no sign-in: signing in takes you to the separate application. It therefore sets no session cookie, no refresh cookie and no CSRF cookie.
3.2 What this Website does not set or load
Stated positively so that the absence is on the record:
- No third-party fonts, stylesheets, frames or embedded widgets by default. Typefaces are served from our own servers. The only third-party script that may load is Google Analytics 4, and only after you choose “Accept all” (§5).
- No session, refresh or authentication cookie — there is nothing to sign in to here.
- No CSRF cookie. The contact, sample-request and newsletter forms submit to an API and do not rely on a browser cookie for cross-site request protection.
- No language, theme or interface-state storage. The language indicator in the footer is display-only and writes nothing.
- No analytics cookie, script, tag or SDK unless you chose “Accept all” (§5).
- No advertising, retargeting, social-media or cross-site profiling technology (§6).
- No device fingerprinting.
4. Functional and preference storage
This Website stores no functional or preference data on your device.
Should we later add a preference of that kind — remembering a chosen language, for example — it will be treated as exempt from consent on the basis that it stores an instruction you actively gave and nothing else (Art. 11.7a(3) Dutch Telecommunications Act), it will be listed in §3.1, and it will be described here.
5. Analytics and statistics
5.1 Google Analytics 4
If you choose “Accept all”, this Website loads Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC, so we can understand aggregate traffic (pages viewed, approximate geography, device/browser class, referral source and similar events). The script is fetched from Google’s domain (www.googletagmanager.com / Google Analytics endpoints). IP anonymisation is enabled in our configuration.
Typical cookies and storage set by GA4 after consent include _ga, _ga_<container-id> and related identifiers. They are first-party cookies from the perspective of your browser’s cookie jar for this site, but the measurement hits are sent to Google. Exact names and lifetimes are controlled by Google’s GA4 implementation and may change; withdrawing consent deletes the cookies we can clear from this site and stops further loading of the script.
If you choose “Essential only”, or have not yet chosen, the GA4 script is not loaded and those cookies are not set. Changing from “Accept all” to “Essential only” on the Cookie settings page (or in the cookie modal) unloads the script and clears analytics cookies immediately.
5.2 What the banner does
The banner records your choice in ni-cookie-consent. A prior “Essential only” choice continues to block GA4. Choosing “Accept all” is what authorises the load described in §5.1.
5.3 Amplitude and Sentry
We use Amplitude for product analytics and Sentry for error monitoring in connection with the customer application and our own servers, not as browser SDKs on this Website. Neither places a cookie or any other storage in your browser when you visit this Website solely because of those product tools. The forms on this Website — the contact form, the sample-article request and the newsletter subscription — do not generate Amplitude or Sentry browser events on this Website.
Both providers are described in the Privacy Policy and the transfer mechanisms that apply to them are set out in Privacy Policy §10. Google Analytics on this Website is listed in the Sub-processors page.
6. Marketing and advertising
We use none. We place no advertising, retargeting, social-media tracking or cross-site profiling cookies, we embed no advertising pixels, and we do not sell or share personal data for advertising purposes. If this ever changes, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested before any such technology is placed.
7. Links to third-party services
This Website links out to third parties; it does not embed them.
- Demo booking. “Book a demo” opens our scheduling provider, Cal.com, in a new browser tab. The scheduling widget is not embedded in this Website, so it sets nothing on newsintel.eu. Once you are on Cal.com’s own site, Cal.com’s cookie notice and privacy policy govern what happens there.
- Sign-in. The sign-in link opens the customer application on a different domain. What that application stores is outside the scope of this policy (§1.3).
Our rule for the future. Where we embed third-party media or a third-party widget directly in a page of this Website, we will place it behind a click-to-load placeholder, so that no third-party cookie is set unless you activate it. No such embed exists today, so this is a commitment about future behaviour rather than a description of a control that is already running.
8. How to change your choice, and how to manage cookies
On this Website. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time on the Cookie settings page, linked in the footer of every page. Withdrawal is as easy as consent and takes effect immediately: the analytics script stops loading and analytics cookies already set for this site are cleared.
In your browser. You can block or delete cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings; the major browsers each publish instructions. On this Website the only consequence is that we forget the choice you made and the banner asks again. Nothing else on this Website depends on browser storage. Blocking storage will, separately, prevent you from staying signed in to the customer application, which is a different domain and a different notice.
9. How long your choice is kept
Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage and stays there until you change it or clear your browsing data. We do not currently apply a maximum period, and the banner does not automatically ask again. We keep no copy on our servers: the record exists only in your browser, so clearing your browser storage erases it completely and we retain nothing.
